July 4th Celebration at Jackson Mansion

There was a July 4th celebration held at the Jackson Mansion in Berwick on the morning of July 4th. The event inculded reenactors, speeches, music, food venors, a 21-gun salute, and free tours of the Jackson Mansion. It also featured a march with Civil War reenactors representing the 149th PA Bucktails, along with a showing of the Stuart Tank Society's restored Stuart tank, 'Lady Lois.'




Berwick WWII Weekend

The 9th annual WWII Weekend celebration in Berwick was hosted at the Riverfront Test Track from July 17th to the 19th. The 3 day event is meant to commemorate WWII history, as well as the historical manufacturing of Stuart tanks in Berwick during WWII. The event consisted of hundreds of reenactors, restored WWII era vehicles, train tracks, tank rides, food vendors, and reenactment battles. The event is hosted by the Stuart Tank Memorial Association.




Intermediate School May Become Apartments

The recently closed intermediate school that previously held the 3rd thorugh 6th grade students was recently bought by Yalick Farms for $700,000. Developer J. Naparlo plans to transform the school into 28-29 one-bedroom apartments for senior citizens.
